1 Go to: www.communicationhelppoint.org.uk
2 Register your details online. Some groups of practitioners will be given a cohort identification code – check if you have one and enter it in the DfES number section.
3 Click on the Self-evaluation page.
4 Decide on which stage of competences you are going to complete.
5 Complete the online evaluation – your information is automatically saved, so you can come back to it at another time if you wish.
6 You can then view ‘your learning profile’, which shows areas in which you are very confident, and areas where you are less so.
7 If you want to look at activities, information and training which may help you develop skills and knowledge for different Strands, click on ‘find ways to develop your skills and knowledge for this strand’. This will take you to a range of professional development options.
8 You can update your profile at any time.
9 Next time you use the site, you’ll need to log in with your user name and password.
