Who is behind this website and framework?

This website and the Speech, Language and Communication Framework have been developed by The Communication Trust. The Trust was founded by Afasic, BT Better World Campaign, Council for Disabled Children (CDC) and I CAN and is supported by the Department for Children, Schools and Families as well as other funders.

The purpose of The Communication Trust is to raise awareness of the importance of speech, language and communication across the children’s workforce, as well as enabling practitioners to access the best training and expertise to support the communication needs of all children.
