Question
What is the speech, language and communication framework?
Answer
The Speech, Language and Communication Framework (SLCF) is a clear, comprehensive framework of the competences required by practitioners to support speech, language and communication skills in children and young people. The competences are set out across four graded stages – the first being the skills and knowledge that everyone in the children’s workforce should have, and the later stage relates to specialised learning at a postgraduate level.
